There seems to be a great turnover for home health personnel. However, when it comes to paying the home care staff, the money is not available to give us a decent salary. The truth of the matter is,we are an invisible group. We are not counted.
And,the painful part of all of this is,that the agencies do not care.Instead, all that they care about is the profits. And,when it comes to covering each and every individual case that is accepted by the agency, the profits go up,and the pay for the home care worker stays exactly the same. There are no benefits to speak of.
When it comes to time for us to retire, who will care for us?
